It's a Cruel Cruel world!

As seen in our local newspaper.
TALLAHASSEE USA

A young woman was found inside a home she
shared with relatives who had spent nearly 2
weeks looking for her.

Her family thought she's been kidnapped and
contacted the police.

Family members scoured her room for clues
but found nothing, though they did notice a
strange smell.

Her body was found inside the house behind a
bookcase - 11 days later - and it's believed
that she fell over as she tried to adjust the plug
of the TV situated behind the bookshelf!

This is indeed a very tragic accident!
So every now and again people go missing in
Germany - sometimes for as long as a year,
simply without a trace AND no-one bothers to look
for them or report them as missing.
On many of these sad and unbelievable occasions
when the Apartment Agency decides to investigate
why no rent's been paid for a number of months, they
will discover a body sitting or lying on the couch in
the living room, with only a newspaper leaving a clue
and indicating the date of death.
I don't want to think what our Agency will do if and
when we'd "skip" a single payment - I'm convinced
they'd be outside our front door , boots and all - let
alone wait for as long as a whole year!!

It's not only hard to believe, but indeed very frightening to
think this sort of thing is happening all around us - even
in this day and age!!!

This is indeed very sad. It is not like earlier days where we had our joint family system, our grand parents living with us.

This is the era of single, nuclear family where these things are bound to happen. Many times people live all alone!!

In india, we are still together (if not with family, our neighbours are more than interested about us ;)). Totally different culture but yes this can happen here also.

Thanks for your visit to my blog. Keep doing that. :)

That is so just so terribly sad! Can you imagine dying like that??? Here in SA (as you probably know) that won't happen because if you are an hour late with rent they will come looking for you or something!!! lol

Ohhhh ... this is indeed very tragic.
Such incidents often make me think whether we, as the entire human race, are moving in the right direction ?

That really is tragic. Fortunately no danger of me not being spotted, although it might register on the Richter scale if I keeled over
