Down and Out, but Happy !
LET'S HAVE A MID- WEEK LAUGH !!!
Have you ever noticed...... Anybody going slower than you
You have to stay in shape. My grandmother, she started
walking 5 miles a day when she was 60. She's 97 today and we don't
know where the hell she is. Ellen DeGeneris
Don't be a maniac, take it easy and please don't get lost
along the way.
HAVE A GREAT WEEK-END !!
That's a staggering amount of of money to spend, and quite honostly, I
won't know where to start.
I have given the matter of sudden wealth, some thought.
Firstly get it into the Fort Knox as soon as possible, relax, don't act irrational -
I can imagine how difficult it must be with so much lolly lying
around at home.
I will make a substantial donation to the needy in this world.
I will definately donate to animal organisations, also to animals
in stress and in desperate need of help - No wait a minute, I have a better
idea. I will buy an island, and have all the needy animals living there
to spend their days at leasure, and
hire loads of people to care for them, (employment for those who can't
find work)
There is no end to all one can do with so much money, but before I
tell you about my crazy ideas, I am interested to know what bloggers
will if you should win such a kings ransom !
Last year I've blogged about the Technical college/hotel which is
situated almost directly opposite the building where we live - see Sept 9
2006 Peace and Tranquility.
Since December last year the gardeners have big plans up their sleeves,
but as yet they've done a pretty good job of disturbing not only the
beauty but also the peace and quiet of the little paradise in the city.
Once apon a time we had a lush green lawn - the ideal spot to
catch a tan during Summer right through to the early Autumn - de-
pending on the mood of the weather, is now an unsightly stretch of mud
and muck.
People could sit on garden chairs or on the grass, enjoying a cold drink
and a chat, or a quick cigarette break before getting back to their
seminar classes.
The whole entire area has also been a playground for my dog (this
is the only place simular to a park, where dogs are allowed in)
I only have to say the magic words "Come on Fuji, we're going to the
KALABASSE !" and the excited animal will trip herself (and me over in the
process) to get out the front door fast enough. She'd be so over-
excited, I will have difficulties in attaching the lead to her dog collar.
On hot and sticky Summer days I'd escape to the place of sheer
bliss to hear the birds in the trees, observe the squirrels and to enjoy
the cool and pleasant shade provided by the large old trees in the area,
while Fuji will enjoy a well deserves backscratch by rolling on the
beautiful green lawn.
I'm posting a few pictures of what it looked like before disaster struck
and what a merry mess it's now - and hopefully we will once again, soon,
be able to enjoy the little paradise - not far from home - in our very busy
street !
1. Stop worrying, worry kills life.
2. Begin each day with a prayer, it will arm your soul.
3. Control appetite. Over-indulgence clogs body and mind.
4. Accept your limitations....
5. Don't envy. It wastes time and energy.
6. Have faith in people. Cynicism sours the disposition.
7. Find a hobby. It will relax your nerves.
8. Read a book a week to stimulate imagination
and broaden your views.
9. Spend some time alone for the peace of solitude
and silence.
10. Try to want what you have, instead of spending your
strength trying to get what you want.
