A very strange picture! My husband was a Saftey Director in a Gold Mine in Washington state and your photo just made him shake his head!! People do stange things and live to tell about it once in a while don't we?????
Yes, that looks really scary, you have visions of the whole lot collapsing and the saw running amok with arms and legs flying everywhere. Safer to use the sofa to bounce up and snip each bit with the scissors.
